It is also the number of asanas that exist in the practice of yoga. Malas are therefore usually made with a number of beads relating to 108. Rudraksha beads are a symbol of compassion and spirituality, purifying our thoughts and giving us a peaceful mind. They are very often worshipped in Asian countries, as they are known to contain great energy. They give us the strength to experience and propagate the positive changes we want in our lives. The smallest Rudraksha beads are considered sacred and rare. On the Wisdom necklace, these beads are alternated with amethyst beads.

Amethyst provides beneficial energy for meditation, it allows us to unfold our spirituality. This stone helps us to transcend old patterns and habits that no longer serve us.

This stone combination connects us to the sixth and seventh chakras. The 6th chakra, also called the Ajna eye, third eye or sixth sense, has the role of opening the mind. It is the path to wisdom. The 7th chakra, which is located at the top of the head, is our energy point connecting with the cosmos, the spiritual and the infinite.

Care instructions
When you receive your mala, we invite you to perform the following ritual:

  • Monday is the sacred day dedicated to Shiva, so we advise you to start wearing your mala on this day
  • Sit down in a quiet room. Find the place where you can relax
  • In a container of water, place some flowers and dip your mala in it
  • To help your mind and body relax, light a stick of incense
  • Once you have reached a level of serenity, cleanse each of the beads in your mala. Convey your intentions to it and imagine that it protects you and brings you inner peace
  • Repeat the mantra “OM HREEM NAMAH SHIVAYA OM” which represents the tears of Shiva
  • Your mala is now carrying energy. All you have to do is wear it and enjoy its benefits

This ritual will allow you to create a personal connection with your necklace and its stones. However, your mala is an energy carrier due to the materials it is made of. You are therefore not required to go through this ceremony.

Wearing your mala regularly, the beads will absorb a lot of energy. Therefore, from time to time you need to discharge them in order to start afresh. To do this, open your tap and place the necklace under running water. Touch each bead with the intention of cleaning it. To dry it, it is best to hang the necklace outside. Once dry, a little natural oil on each bead will help them gain shine.

Why we love it
Amethyst promotes mental calm and helps to dispel anxiety and anger. Broadly connected to the spiritual, it promotes meditation by creating a space of relaxation and serenity in the mind.

We love its beautiful purple colour that calms us in times of stress.

This necklace resonates with the 6th and 7th chakras. The sixth chakra is located between the two eyebrows. Called the “3rd eye”, it is synonymous with clear vision and intuition. When it is out of balance, it can bring confusion and a lack of self-recognition.

The seventh chakra is the one at the top of the skull and is connected to wisdom. It allows us to feel grounded in the universe and with the people around us.
