Whether you are a beginner in the practice of yoga or an experienced yogi, the choice of your equipment and the choice of your clothes are important in order to carry out your sessions in absolute comfort and well-being. Here we give you some tips to apply when choosing your equipment.
Being comfortable in your yoga gear is a key point. Practising yoga involves acrobatic postures and most of the time stretching, so it is important for your comfort to feel good in the outfit you have chosen. For the choice of your clothes, privilege a breathable fabric which will help with the evacuation of perspiration, a soft fabric which helps you to relax and which does not disturb you during your sequences, and finally a fabric which has a good opacity so that you are at ease and without concern. We have yoga clothes for every style!
Beyond good yoga clothes, every yogi must first think about the choice of his mat. This is the mat on which you perform your various postures, breathing exercises and body stretches. It is essential in most of the proposed courses: prenatal yoga, pilates, meditation, hatha yoga, pranayama, yin yoga, etc… Choose a non-slip material to support your various postures and not to slip. To protect your joints when your elbows, knees, ankles and wrists are on the floor, choose a mat with a certain thickness. Choose a lightweight mat if you want to carry it easily to your group classes and yoga retreats. For use at home or if you leave your mat at your favourite studio, then you may want to choose a heavier mat that will stay in place no matter what your movements and the nature of the floor.

The same goes for the yoga accessories, choose a good material that allows you to progress and offers you ease and security in the practice of your different asanas. We offer several yoga supports in our shop. Like the straps that are used in certain types of classes such as Iyengar and Restorative, they ensure a better support and a good balance. Zafus, the oval-shaped cushions, are particularly well known for meditation practice as they provide a stable and comfortable seat, but they are also popular in Yin and Restorative yoga. Bricks are used for sitting and also as a stabiliser when performing certain postures. We offer them here in cork or foam.
