There are different approaches to yoga: dynamic yoga called "Yang" which includes Hatha yoga, Vinyasa-Flow yoga or Ashtanga yoga. In her yoga teaching career, Laurence has specialised in Yin yoga forms. She is also certified in Myofascial Self-Massage, a technique that involves deep stretching and fascial massage, as well as in Sound Healing technics. This gentle form of yoga aims at complete letting go, both mental and physical. Postures are held in a passive mode for several minutes to stimulate the muscles and joints. The role of breathing is central in Yin yoga to achieve relaxation and softness. Accessories (blocks,, straps ...) are often used to help hold the poses with no counterproductive resistance.
